First thing’s first. If you don’t know who Clayton Bigsby is, google that shit right now. He’s a character played by Dave Chappelle on his sketch comedy show, “Chappelle’s Show,” who happens to be a black white supremacist. It’s over a decade old, but it’s still quite possibly the second funniest sketch he ever made behind maybe the Rick James sketch in Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories. Many will say it’s racist and over the top, but in the world of comedy, there are no boundaries. Everything is fair game to make fun of – especially if it involves making fun of racial stereotypes that everyone knows are fundamentally wrong in the first place.
So now enter, Peter Rosenberg. Peter grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland – the town that just so happened to be ranked the most affluent town in the United States back in 2014 by Bethesda Magazine because of its median household income of over $250,000. Peter also happens to be a caucasian male who has a beef with Barstool Sports because he believes they’re a bunch of white guys who are “sexist and misogynistic.” Or you know, the classic excuse everybody and their mother makes to try to put down the fastest growing media company in sports. The problem is, they’re not. You see, Pres (Dave Portnoy, Barstool’s founder and Chief of Content) makes one rape joke several years ago while the website posts daily pictures of beautiful women (which has also helped jumpstart many modeling careers), and all of a sudden the moment somebody has a bone to pick with Barstool, they are quick to point these things out. It’s cheap and easy, and it’s been done a million times by people like Peter. It still doesn’t mean it’s right, though.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t truly mean Peter’s the bizarro Clayton Bigsby. I only used that for comedic purposes (you know like “Ha. Ha.”) In fact, I don’t actually think he hates white people. But just because Peter now happens to DJ for the number one hip hop station in New York City and listens to Biggie on the reg, doesn’t mean he’s earned this credibility to point the finger at Barstool for having a “white boys club frat vibe” like he’s some sort of civil rights leader when he also happens to be a white man that probably grew up in a cul-de-sac in an all white neighborhood. It just doesn’t add up.
So what happens when you attack Barstool Sports by spewing dumb, inaccurate bullshit on your radio show when you’re a politically correct troll that clearly has a chip on your shoulder? Well, you get body bagged. And per usual, Pres, Big Cat, and Stoolies all over the internet body bagged the hell out of Rosenberg for taking a shot at the throne.
Sit back and enjoy the tweets.
FYI – he deleted his reply tweet to Big Cat because he called him a “dipshit.” Bad boy move by Paul.
