WTAE Pittsburgh – The wife of Pittsburgh Penguins star Kris Letang will be one of six women featured on the new season of a reality TV show about women who share their lives with professional hockey players.

Catherine LaFlamme announced Monday night on Instagram that she will be in Season 3 of “Hockey Wives” on the W Network in Canada.

Storylines will include LaFlamme’s recovery from a miscarriage and thinking about trying for another pregnancy, and her efforts to launch a new youth clothing line, which will see her traveling back and forth between Pittsburgh and Montreal while the Pens attempt to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.

The cast also includes Maripier Morin (engaged to former Montreal Canadiens player Brandon Prust); Martine Auclair Vlasic (wife of San Jose Sharks player Marc-Edouard Vlasic); Vanessa Vandal (longtime girlfriend of St. Louis Blues forward David Perron); Emilie Blum (wife of Jonathan Blum, who plays in Russia); and Erica Lundmark (wife of Jamie Lundmark, who plays in Austria).

Uh, more like Catherine La – FLAME. AMIRIGHT?!

Honestly, it’s been a pretty slow day here at Peep’s Burgh. I wouldn’t have jumped on this story if it wasn’t for the fact that Tanger’s wife is an absolute smokeshow. I do find it hilarious how Canadians have their own version of a reality housewives show, though. And to much of no one’s surprise, it involves hockey. Like in America, everyone wants a piece of you if you’re a celebrity that has like 85 million followers on social media. But in Canada, all you need to do is know how to skate around on two knife blades while shooting a rubber disk into a net, and people will look at you like you’re a god damned Greek God.

Everyone knows that all Canadians do is eat, breathe, and sleep hockey. So it’s no surprise that the smokes from up north are attracted to the men that dominate on the ice. I’m pretty sure if you’re a professional hockey player in Canada, you have access to all of the Molson’s, maple syrup, and smokes that you want.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this season is going to dominate the ratings north of the border.

The Americans have already claimed Tom and Gisele as our national power couple. The Canadians can go ahead and claim these two, and I wouldn’t be mad about it.
